Richard’s numerous experiments with paint range from the ‘conventional’ rectangular canvas to the irregular objects of shaped and sculptural canvases. Richard seeks to create art that both celebrates and questions the conventions of painting. Through this approach he produces art that surprises with its mix of the ‘traditional’ and the ‘contemporary’.
